A super fun day...

Riley and I had a jampacked Saturday...a bithday party and a trip to Tilden Park!!!
Jason had some house chores he had been wanting to tackle since he got home so Riley and I went and played all day while he "labored" over Labor Day weekend to get some things done.
We sure missed him but we had a GREAT day!
Riley had her first birthday party that she was invited to that was one of her friends from school...Caleb...and he LOVES all things to do with fire trucks so his 3rd birthday was all about them!
We started off at Caleb's house letting the kiddos play...good 'ol Pin the Tail on the Donkey...except they all figured out how to sneak a peak under the blindfold and amazingly all the tails ended up in exactly the correct location...cheaters!
After some playtime we all headed down the street to the local fire department...
Our best shot at getting the kiddos together!
Riley was SO excited to meet the firemen!
She got to try on all of their gear!
The firemen showed them all the secret compartments on the truck and all the cool tools and gadgets they have!
He was even brave enough to give three toddlers one of the big poking sticks to play with!
Riley got to pull the horn as well!
She had a blast at Caleb's party and I had so much fun watching all of them be enamoured with the firemen and the firetruck...she even got her own hat when we left!
As if the party wasn't fun enough that was just the start of our day!
We met up with Patti and Braden...and then met up with this gang at Tilden Park in Berkeley!
My mom and I went to this park back in July and it was a foggy day but this time it was rather warm and the weather was great! This park is one of the best parks I have ever been to...it's huge...it covers many many miles of the East Bay and there is so much to do!
We hung out with everyone, ate some snacks, and let the kids play!
I think she's having fun!
Lake Anza sits in the midst of the park and we headed to check it out!
Love this girl!
We walked around the perimeter of the lake just to check it out and Riley and Braden were hand in hand most of the way!
After checking out the lake we walked over to the Merry Go Round and took a ride on Racing Stripes...this is what Riley did when I told her to make a funny face!
Kaitlin, Riley, and Braden playing with the trains!
After some ice cream we walked back to where we parked and then drove over to the petting zoo.
Riley loved the goats and talked to them so sweetly!
We then hiked up the hill to check out the cows...such an amazing view!
Riley and Braden trying to climb the fence...Riley went without a nap all day and did quite well but there were a few moments where she acted like she belonged in a zoo!
Me and Riles...we had such a fun day together!
We headed home with some tuckered out kiddos...and I have to say I was pretty tuckered out myself!
Jason had worked hard all day so we picked up Mimi's for dinner on the way home...what a great day!
