Some Randomness...

So I'll start off by saying that we are on our way to potty training!!! Friday night Riley indicated that she needed to potty and Jason put her on the potty....and SUCCESS!!! She has since had two more successes and we are putting her there when she wakes up, naps, and goes to bed. We are going to try to do it more consistently this weekend and if she indicates she means business then they will start offering her the potty at school as well...I think she's ready but I'm not sure...we'll see!!! She definitely likes trying and does she try...she sings "Pee Pee in the Potty" which comes out "PeePeePotty" and it's super cute...such a big girl!

We also had a GREAT date on Tuesday night! Miss M came over to babysit and Riley did fabulous...she asked for us a few times but never cried and went right to bed like a champ! We went to The Buckhorn, a great steakhouse in a small town about 20 miles away...the food was AWESOME and boy did we order a lot of it. The waitress actually said "we're going to have to roll you guys out"...wow. We did leave with a doggy bag so no rolling had to be done! We strolled the streets of this quaint little town and then grabbed some coffee and headed home to a sleeping baby!
Love the quality of that picture above? Ha! My camera has finally ticked me off enough with it's inability to produce a good picture without TONS of editing so I'm hoping Santa Claus brings me an SLR...hint hint!
Yesterday was Veterans Day...Riley and Jason went with Coop and Paul to Bass Pro Shops and they all had a blast...apparently Riley test drove a few boats but couldn't decide on which one she wanted!
She also tried on a few hats...

In the end she decided on this blue hat...and enjoyed a snack after such intense decision making!

And then she called it a day and sacked out...just love a sleeping baby...so sweet!

And when she got home she showed me the HUGE fish pillow she got as well...we call him Larry the fish and she LOVES him so!

After they had fun at Bass Pro we all headed up to Davis for the Farmer's Market and some great Thai food...oh it was so good! We spent time with some good friends and it was a great evening!
Tonight I went to play Bunco and won a big fat NOTHING...and the prizes were so good...$75 visa giftcards...stink...it was fun though!
When I got home Jason informed me that in his attempt to keep Riley from brushing her teeth (trust me when I say I support him in this decision...brushing teeth has become a hard thing around here...more on that in another post) he shut the door to our bedroom and it ended up locked so he had to climb in our bedroom window from the backyard to let us back in...don't you just love it when you have to break into your own house? Good thing the window was unlocked...not so good if a bad person tried to open our window but that's what we have the dogs for right?
We've had a busy week...a fun week...and tomorrow is Friday!
