Manly Men...

Who doesn't love manly men who hunt and gather for their family!

Last Friday the base had a Family Day...Jason was off work and Riley was out of school!!! Jason had the opportunity to go fishing just a few miles from our house on one of the inlets and they did rather well!

His buddy caught the big fish in the pics below, but Jason still caught enough to feed us a tasty meal that evening!

Even though he didn't catch this one, he couldn't pass up a photo op with this bad boy...a 23 lb 42" long striper!

When he got home he got even more manly and fileted the fish in our kitchen...Riley didn't quite know what to think...half the time she laughed and half the time she looked at me as if she needed rescuing from the big bad fish!

We decided to go ahead and fry the fish in our seasoned skillet that my mom handed down to me...it was delish!

The next day we got word that CJ, Jason's brother, killed his first deer in Arkansas...so proud of you bud!

Here's Frank and CJ...we can't wait to have some summer sausage at Christmas!

This is probably the goriest post I've ever done...two dead creatures!
