Some fun...some not so fun...

My secret to potty training?

Let Riley pick out her panties...and inevitably wear them on her head in the store!

We did a little shopping after church last Sunday...and after Riley's super long nap we headed to Nut Tree Park to do a little playing!

She was ecstatic that she got to ride "Racing Stripes"...

She did lots of running around, we rode the train, and she even drove this Snoopy ride!

After playing we headed to our friends Katie and Joe's house for wine and snacks! The weather has been perfect...bringing out the wino in me again!

Riley got to meet a new friend named Carter and they are just a few months apart.

We were laughing hysterically because they played with Sophie's leash a lot of the evening...Riley had the handle and Carter had the clasp.

Who knew my daughter would have her first boy on a leash at such a young age!

She pulled him all around the yard and they belly laughed at who knows what. We also found it super funny that the entire time Riley was pulling Carter on the leash she was just talking away and he had very little to say...the story of a girl's life!

What a fun night!

Riley also got a piggy bank from her DiDi this week...well theoretically she did! The fabulous postal service "damaged" the fragile package and rather than a piggy bank we got a lot of pink broken pieces...boo. Thankfully we were heading to Target that day so we picked up a new one and took it home with us!

Riley had fun putting all of her Easter quarters in it!

She wanted to hold her piggy so bad!

The piggy had to get a kiss before we found a home for it in her room!

Today was a Mother's Day picnic at Riley's school!
(Pay no attention to Riley's attire in the pictures...she was dressed all cute and her hair all done this morning but her little dress took a dip in the toilet on one of her trips to the potty and she only had extra pants at school so they provided another shirt for her and all they had were boy shirts..haha!)

They had the picnic on the pre-school playground and the kids were in heaven seeing all these new toys and bigger play places.

Riley decided Cooper needed a ride in the wagon!

The kids had made pizzas all by themselves earlier in the day and once the sweet ladies in the kitchen cooked them all up we had a pizza picnic lunch...complete with apple juice!

Riley insisted she and I go for a ride!

The whole Cameron family was there...Riley just LOVES her Paul! A little boy had hit her on the head and she was not happy about...all she wanted was for Paul to hold her!

She hoolah hooped!

Sweet Kinsley even made an appearance...check out this sweet girl with her Aggie pacifier!

Me and my girl!

Cooper on a monster bike and in heaven!

I got some great pictures of Paul being a big kid...

working the hoolah hoop...

and riding the monster bike!

Unfortunately after all the fun we had today was the day to say goodbye to the Cameron's. They will be moving back to Texas this next week. I hate goodbyes...even though Jenn and I will be talking every day with work and all it's just been so special to have them so close and to see Riley and Cooper just love each other like siblings. We all boohooed in the parking lot as we said our goodbyes and both kids were crying away as well...for other reasons but nonetheless there were lots of tears.

When we got home I had gotten an e-mail from Jenn that had a special note for Riley from Cooper...

My friend Riley, I am going to miss you sooooo much!
We laughed and fought like brother and sister!
Goodbye my California friend!
I am leaving in a week to move to Texas - come visit me!
Luh lu, Riley.
Cooper

So sweet...thankfully we'll be back in Texas a lot too and we'll get to visit soon!

Needless to say we needed a pick me up after all of that so Patti and Brayden came over to play!

Riley and Brayden played and played...and at some point ended up in the guest room closet where I keep all of our ski gear! So this is what my little girl was dressed like most of the afternoon...she pulled it off well!

Well, that's a wrap for this week.

We're off on a jet plane tomorrow to help celebrate JoePa's birthday!
