All of our visits...

Okay...okay...I know I've been a little behind on the blog this week...needless to say it has been a crazy week and I just took too many pictures while we were in Texas so it makes it hard to pick and choose. Riley and I made it home safe on Tuesday and she once again was great on the plane! Jason is in Wichita Falls until next Friday so it's just Riley and me for a little while, but we are doing good and having fun! She is such a sweet and content baby...we are so blessed.
Here are some pics of all of the family and friends that we were able to visit with while we were at home...
Uncle Jan, Aunt Diane, and Amanda...we got to see them several times and it was great as always....they are such special people!
My cousin Kassie and my Aunt Kay!

Grandpa John and Grandma Lois...we visited with them and had lunch at the Kelly Club...it was a great visit!

Pat and Patrice...Riley actually made 2 visits to Alamo Cafe so she is considered a regular now like all of us!

Phoebe and Dale were nice enough to host us while we visited Aggieland!

A visit from Becky

Becky, my best friend from college who now lives in San Angelo thanks to the Air Force, came with her little girl Sydney to visit for a few days! We had so much fun and Sydney was so cute and sweet with Baby Riley! We went to the park and went on walks and Becky napped with Riley every afternoon! Becky and I even got a night to ourselves and went to see Juno...we went to this crazy new theatre where we ended up in a VIP theatre that had leather seats and even had a bar outside...CRAZY! I offered to be Becky's DD, but she passed! We both loved the movie and it was a lot of fun!

Riley hasn't quite grasped the concept of the park, but she decided that it would be a perfect environment for a nap so that's what she did while Sydney played! The weather down here has been perfect...sunny and 75 degrees! We have noticed that it has been freezing in Arkansas so we are happy we are down here enjoying this great weather!

Pampered

My dad treated my mom and I to pedicures and massages as his Valentine's gift...what a treat! We went to get our pedicures on Monday and Riley joined me in the massage chair and napped the whole time. We went to get our massages on Tuesday and it was an hour of total relaxation and it was AWESOME...thanks Dad! I can't wait until Riley is old enough for her and I to go get pedicures together...that has been a special thing that my mom and I have done for several years and I always look forward to it!

Sip and See

Today my mom hosted a Sip and See for Riley and it was so much fun...we got to catch up with lots of family and friends and Riley slept through most of the party, but that made it easy to pass her around so everyone could hold her.
Here is two generations of aunts...Gabi and Maria!
Riley LOVES her Aunt Gabi!

This is Jen, my best friend from high school, loving on Riley!

Here are all of the LHS girls...it was like a mini reunion for all of us and it was so fun to catch up and laugh just like the good 'ol days!

Remember how I mentioned my bag was near the weight limit on the way down, well we will have to ship Riley's gifts home because we got tons of great things. Riley is truly loved and we thank all of our family and friends for everything! This girl has more clothes than I do and that is no joke!

Home Sweet Home

Well we made it to San Antonio yesterday and Riley was AWESOME on the plane...she fell asleep during takeoff and slept through changing planes in Dallas and didn't wake up until we arrived at my parents house. She was a champ!

Packing for her and I in two suitcases for 10 days seemed like an insurmountable task, but we succeeded and my big bag weighted in at 48.5 pounds...woohoo! I have been known to have to pay the $25 charge for an overweight bag so I considered this a huge accomplishment! Getting through security would have been a nightmare had they not given Jason a pass to go all the way to the gate with us...I think there must be a requirement that you be unfriendly and unwilling to work in order to apply for a job with TSA!

Last night we ate at our favorite restaurant, Alamo Cafe! We are in the land of good Mexican food...no offense to our Arkansan friends, but you guys haven't tasted the real deal unless you come to good 'ol San Antonio!

Here is Riley and JoPa...two babies sleeping soundly!

Jill, one of my college roommates, came to visit for the weekend and it has been awesome to spend time with her and for her to meet Riley...here she is laughing away!

Riley is sleeping in the cradle that I slept in with the bedding my mom made for me...she loves her accomodations as you can tell!

Happy Valentine's Day!

We hope you all have a wonderful Valentine's Day!!!

If that smile doesn't make your day then I don't know what else could!

Riley wants to give a special shout out to her boyfriend Kaleb...they will not get to go on a Valentine's date tonight, but hopefully they will get another supervised date here in the near future!

Riley and I leave tomorrow for a nice visit to Texas...we will be in San Antonio visiting Grammy and JoPa along with many other family and friends and we will also make a visit to College Station to see an Aggie basketball game. If anyone happens to be in town give us a call...we would love to see you! We should be able to blog and update while we are gone so I'll let you know how Riley does on her first plane ride...now I'm off to overpack for both of us!

Daddy's Little Girl

Funny story...when we first found out we were pregnant Jason was at the mall by himself and called me with excitement to tell me that he had bought the first of baby clothes. Apparently Gymboree was having a sale and he assured me that everything he bought was gender neutral because at this point we had no clue as to what we were having. It was so cute and he was so proud, but I knew once I saw the purchase that everything he bought was for a boy. However, he is such a proud dad and he really thought everything was gender neutral so I have to dress her in all of the outfits that he bought so here she is in her bugs, iguanas, and salamander outfit...our little tomboy! We hope that she will be a good mix of girly girl and tomboy so here's our attempt at starting that trend!
